Overview: CoinSmart, positioned as a leading Canadian cryptocurrency exchange, aims to simplify the process of trading digital currencies for its users. Focused on enhancing the platform's retail trading volume and improving the effectiveness of its email marketing strategies. My role encompassed increasing the subscriber base, boosting the conversion rates, and ultimately contributing to the company's revenue growth.
Problem: CoinSmart faced the challenge of increasing its retail trading volume and the average trade value per user, alongside needing to amplify its email marketing channel's performance to maximize return on investment (ROI).
Solution: Addressed CoinSmart's challenges by implementing list-building strategies that elevated the subscriber count by 2.47% month-over-month (MoM) and improved the conversion rate on new users from registration to deposit by 2.7% MoM. Top-of-funnel efforts led to a 20.88% increase in retail trading volume MoM and a 17.44% rise in the average trade per user MoM. Furthermore, your strategies contributed to CoinSmart reporting the strongest overall revenue among Canadian crypto exchanges as of Q3 2022, with over $35 million generated in retail and OTC client trading volume.
