Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg

The State Archives of Baden-Württemberg comprise all eight of Baden-Württemberg's state archives. The archives have held the historical records of the state of Baden-Württemberg since 1952 and the records of its predecessor territories since the Middle Ages. The Bureau Johannes Erler created the basis for a stronger perception of the State Archives in society with a new image. In this sense, the asterisk as the new icon of the Landesarchiv underlines the reliability and transparency that enables present and future generations to reconstruct the past on the basis of original contemporary testimonies.
