Overview

The Internet-based Medical Waste Management Information System (WMIS) is a collaborative effort between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) to manage medical waste effectively in healthcare facilities.

Role

As a UI/UX designer at WMIS UNDP Project, my role is to design an intuitive and visually appealing Internet-based Medical Waste Management Information System that caters to the needs of healthcare workers, administrators, and waste management personnel. I focus on ensuring easy navigation, efficient workflows, and effective data visualization to make the system user-friendly and efficient for all stakeholders involved in medical waste management.

Project's Goal

Our facility currently handles approximately 800-900 kg of infectious medical waste daily. Implementing the WMIS will greatly assist us in monitoring waste treatment and providing reports at the national level, which will be highly beneficial.

Challenges

the challenges for both the mobile app and CMS design involve effectively managing complex medical waste data, integrating QR code functionality, ensuring user-friendly interfaces, addressing mobile responsiveness, complying with regulations, and iterating the design based on user feedback for continuous improvement.
