n8n GitHub Assistant

A no-code AI agent workflow that answers questions about GitHub repositories using n8n.

Built fully in n8n (locally hosted)

Two custom tools: Get Repository Structure and Get File Content, implemented using Javascript code nodes and HTTP requests to GitHub API

Uses a single flow with memory and tool routing controlled by a switch node

Qwen3 8B LLM locally served via LM studio (with ollama)

Simple prompt engineering and tool use orchestration handled visually in n8n

Code version implemented in the "Pydantic AI GitHub Assistant" project in my portfolio
