Google / Your Plan, Your Planet

As the UX Designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for "Your Plan, Your Planet." I began by creating detailed site maps and user flows that ensured intuitive navigation throughout the platform. This foundational work set the stage for designing low-fidelity wireframes, which allowed me to establish both layout and functionality effectively.

To bring the vision to life, I built interactive prototypes using Figma, serving as a guiding tool for the design team to maintain the correct user flow. My collaboration with the visual design team was crucial in crafting a cohesive and engaging interface, ensuring that the final product not only met user needs but also resonated with the project's sustainability ethos.

One of the standout features of "Your Plan, Your Planet" is its playful approach to sustainability, embodied through a variety of interactive games designed to engage users in a fun and educational manner.

These games transform complex environmental concepts into relatable and enjoyable challenges, making sustainability accessible to everyone.

As players navigate through the challenges, they not only learn valuable information but also feel a sense of accomplishment as they see their virtual impact on the planet.

By the end of 2019, the site had documented more than 300,000 pledges to change one or more behaviors. The top three were: taking shorter showers, using the dishwasher, and storing leftovers in the fridge. Hundreds of thousands more have visited the site but not made any pledges.

The site was awarded FWA’s Site of the Month in October 2018, achieving an impressive score of 84/100 (see here). Additionally, it earned the title of Site of the Day in the same month, with a notable rating of 7.73/10 (see here). These accolades highlight the platform’s creative excellence and user experience.
