I was hired to design posters for the German team which participated in European championship for athletics in Munich. The briefing was to design posters which are experimental, overwhelming and playful.

I designed a custom headline with 2 overlaying typefaces. The design get's fluid, fast and bold in the same time.

The posters work very well together and tell an endless story. There are mini storytellings within the compositions of the photos visible. Some fotos are engaging with the typography or with graphics.

Next to the static photos and the custom lettering headline, were some hand drawn graphic elements needed to get a high contrast within the graphical concept.

The photos were made by Michael Philipp Bader and were retouched from my side into a Halftone effect.

The poster series were really successful on Social Media. In addition to that the athletes liked the posters as well. Here is the full series:
