A veterinarian is using the custom web application Safari Vet to handle his business operations online. This application was initially created in Java and was a desktop application that could be installed, but as the client's business grew, he sought a scalable solution that could support that expansion as well. A customer uses an application to manage all of his clients, and in particular, their pets. The software keeps track of everything the pet does, including what medications have been given and what will be given next. A customized report that the application provides to the client assists him in ensuring that the pet is doing well and assisting him in identifying any potential problems.
