This project was built in 6 days for the Config Makeathon.
As someone who has been through a lot, struggled to open up, and often lacked the motivation to complete even the simplest daily tasks, I wanted to build something that uses my design and tech skills for real good. That's how Verdant was born.
Verdant is a platform that combines Notion-like productivity (notes, to-do lists, and profiles) with a deep human core. The difference? You can instantly connect with others to get real-time peer help, or simply be there to listen to people struggling with harsh life problems or specific, paralyzing tasks.
Verdant Dashboard
The Experience
Verdant seamlessly blends notebook and to-do list functionalities into a soft, highly aesthetic, and deeply calming digital environment. What sets it apart from standard spiritual or note-taking platforms is its core philosophy: it bonds with the user through gentle, encouraging texts while integrating real-time relaxation tools, such as breathing exercises, directly into the personal workflow.
The dashboard features rich text editing options in the notes section, and every task you add is available for others on the platform to help you with.

Community Support, Redefined
Verdant redefines community support through its unique account system. When a user adds a task or responsibility to their list, they don't have to carry it alone. They can explicitly request help from other users on the platform who are genuinely willing to support those in need.

Beyond the Notebook
We completely slip out of the regular notebook archetype through advanced, immersive interactions:
Immersive Parallax Experience: On the main page, a face-tracking system follows the user's face in real-time, creating a living, shifting interactive parallax effect. On mobile, the gyro system takes over to keep the background interactive.
Vocal Release Interaction: In the relax section, an interaction measures the user's voice and tension levels via the microphone, helping them release accumulated stress and emotional weight through vocalization. What started as just an empty button became a fully interactive, intensity-measuring microphone system designed to help users burn away negative energy.

The Journey
Before discovering the true identity of Verdant, I explored and developed two entirely different concepts: Bolluni, an interactive automotive test panel, and a 2.5D MMORPG web game. While they were strong execution-wise, they didn't align with my ultimate vision of solving a real human problem.
Engineering and design aren't always a straightforward path. Verdant was born from that pivot: a purpose-driven platform blending complex development with deep visual storytelling, crafted specifically for those navigating hard times.

Technical Approach
Built with Figma Make for constructing the core platform logic and codebase, and Figma Weave for crafting the fluid, high-end visual imagery. The mobile experience was a priority: gyro-based interactive backgrounds, responsive layouts, and touch-optimized interactions keep the site as engaging on mobile as it is on desktop.
A productivity platform blending Notion-like notes and to-do lists with real-time peer support for people navigating hard times. Built with Figma Make and Figma Weave for Config Makeathon.
