typography manipulation

In this project, I experimented with typography by integrating elements of the word’s meaning directly into the letters themselves. For example, the letter 'A' in the word "JEAN" lacks its middle bar, creating the silhouette of a pair of jeans, while in "earring," the letter 'g' is modified to resemble both an ear and an earring.

The goal was to manipulate the type subtly, ensuring that the design felt like an inherent part of the typeface. Each modification follows the original thickness and structure of the font while conveying a hidden meaning that reveals itself upon understanding the word.

album covers

I designed two album covers, each reflecting the spirit of the music. The first is for Boney M's Take the Heat Off Me, where I explored vibrant, retro themes to align with the band's iconic style. The second is a conceptual cover for Murat Ergin's Mutedil Dalga, a more experimental and personal design that complements the album’s ambient, wave-like sound. Both covers are presented through mockups to showcase how they would appear in real-world use.

koç university designer talks e-poster series

For a series of seven events at Koç University, I created a cohesive set of e-flyer. Each flyer was designed to announce a session where a prominent designer would share insights with students during studio classes. The e-flyers were distributed via email, one week before each event, to capture the attention of the university community. The design approach was minimalist yet informative, ensuring clarity and engagement.

I created two infographics for different purposes. One focuses on general knowledge about coffee, offering an engaging and informative visual journey through the coffee-making process.

The second infographic highlights the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) 14th goal, Life Under Water. Designed for print media, this infographic emphasizes ocean conservation and sustainability, using a clean and accessible design to spread awareness.
