Overview
Easyhome / easyfinancial, a major Canadian retail finance company, had a 10-year-old Salesforce org built entirely on Visualforce. I led a cross-functional team responsible for migrating the legacy system to Salesforce Lightning, while ensuring continuous support for ongoing business operations.
Key Contributions
Migration Strategy: Designed and executed a detailed Lightning migration plan, including phased rollout, risk mitigation, and dual-system support (Visualforce + Lightning).
CI/CD Implementation: Built an automated CI/CD pipeline (Git-based branching model, scratch orgs, deployment scripts) to ensure smooth releases and faster QA cycles.
Integration Architecture: Defined and implemented Salesforce integration strategy with core business systems (loan origination, payment processing, customer portal).
Data Migration: Planned and supervised the data migration process, maintaining integrity and compliance with production standards.
Memory Optimization: Solved critical Salesforce org memory limit issues, refactoring data-heavy Apex logic and batch processes for better performance and scalability.
Release Coordination: Managed parallel support of legacy and new systems, coordinated releases, and ensured zero downtime during business-critical updates.
Leadership & Delivery: Acted as the primary liaison between developers, QA, and client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and on-time feature delivery.
