First I separated most of the clips I would use in the video. Normally I'd have the song already picked out before I started with the clips, but if that wasn't the case, I would pick a song before I started editing.
Once both things were decided, I would start the editing process.
I'd lay the song in the timeline and then carefully pick what clip would fit to what part, specially if there were parts I could synchronize with the song.
When the bulk was done, I'd add the other clips where there were any missing, shorten some of them by speeding some sections and others just trimming.
When everything was done, it was time for the transitions and effects. For this video I have used nearly no transitions to add to the hectic and fast-paced feel I was going for.
I attempted to play with colors, getting a result I wasn't necessarily looking for, but that ultimately added to the "frenzied" characteristic I had thought of.
