Hello! Here’s Vitrine 💻, my final project at @ecoledesignuqam. It’s a fictional website that gives users access to experimental typefaces designed by UQAM students in the type design course. My main goal was to reinterpret these typefaces through 3D to inspire my audience to use them in their own way. Super happy to bring this idea to life, which had been on my mind for a while, and to have learned how to work with Cinema 4D. Who knows, maybe the project will come to life soon 🤷‍♂️ For now, it’s exhibited at @centrededesignuqam if you’d like to check it out!
Typefaces featured in the 3D models:
Bloc — Claudie L. Desnoyers @quelody
Milky — Angie Mandrapilias @dechet_vip
Harp — Thomas Mérette @thomas_merette20
Oups — Louis-Philippe Bélanger @lp_etc
Héron — Myriam Bourbeau @mym.bourbeau
Lyrique — Alexina Grégoire @alexina_gregoire
Holster — Tamara Martel @tamaramarciamartel
Bombance — Maude Fortier @fortier.maude
Most other typefaces are credited, but don’t hesitate to reach out if I missed you — thanks to everyone who participated 😁. Huge thanks also to the professors/lecturers who supported and guided me: Louis-Charles Lasnier, Simon Séguin, Louis-Pierre Chouinard, and @robitaille_dan.
