Gluchol | Full-Stack & Mobile App Stabilization

Gluchol is a health-focused mobile app that helps people scan foods, analyse products, review restaurant menus, and track daily health indicators.

I joined the project when recent backend and integration changes had created inconsistent behavior across the React Native app, backend logic, and stored data. The work focused on tracing the root causes, fixing the affected flows, and verifying the product on iOS and Android.

Several core workflows had become unreliable, including subscription upgrades, ad unlocks, navigation, and saved actions. Some issues appeared in the mobile interface, while their causes involved backend logic, database state, or the connection between those layers.

The goal was to make the affected experience dependable again without rebuilding working parts of the product.

I reviewed the app, backend, database behavior, and monetization flows as one connected system. My work covered:

Investigating inconsistencies between mobile state, backend logic, and stored data

Reviewing subscription state and upgrade behavior

Resolving reported ad loading and ad-unlock issues

Improving affected navigation and screen transitions

Fixing save interactions that could require a second tap

Verifying the repaired flows in release-distributed iOS and Android builds

I addressed the subscription upgrade flow and the subscription-management behavior for subscribed users across iOS and Android. I also resolved the reported ad loading and ad-unlock issues.

I worked through affected navigation, screen transitions, and save interactions, including cases where a user action did not register on the first tap. The fixes focused on making the mobile experience match the state held by the backend and database.

The scope included implementation as well as verification. I tested the updated workflows in release-distributed builds to confirm the repaired functionality behaved as intended on both platforms.

The work turned a group of disconnected technical issues into a more reliable experience across the app's core workflows. Gluchol had cleaner coordination between its mobile app and the systems behind it, particularly around subscriptions, ad unlocks, saved actions, and navigation.
