Problem:

The client had started the project, a web application focused on user engagement through meme, with a remote team of programmers and the development had hit a number of roadblocks. The project needed to be assessed then put back on track in order to meet the launch timelines.

Action:

I was able to bring in a couple trusted developers to audit the existing codebase. We worked with the existing remote team and evaluated their abilities as well as their code. Once the competent programmers were identified we trimmed the team down to a small core that would keep the project on budget. From there I led the team to fix the existing issues and finish the features need to launch.

Result:

The web application was finished on time and on budget, then launched. The project was then moved into an operations mode, where the focus became feature upgrades and analytics to chart the best way forward.
