Brief

Design a fresh and flexible brand identity for Oslo Bar & Bowling. The identity should appeal to a wide demographic, whilst being sophisticated, plus a touch of weirdness to make it special.

Solution

We created a new identity and interior concept for Oslo Bar & Bowling (OBB) to support a radical refresh to their venue offerings. The result was a unique and coherent brand identity that balanced fun and refinement in order to appeal to a wide range of demographics within their clientele.
Our solution was a type-driven identity, opting for a typeface that balanced sophistication and playfulness across headlines and wordmarks. The various alternate characters evoke a sense of movement and energy, reminiscent of falling bowling pins.

Concept

A type-driven identity that celebrates activity and movement, inspired by falling bowling pins, striking cue balls and the clinking of glasses. Here’s to good vibes, good times and good games.
A set of custom illustrations were created based on the themes of movement and fun to represent the different venue offerings: Bowling, billiards and beverages.
