This was a passion project of mine to redesign some app login/signup screens that I came across. The main flaws that I identified were the following:

Overuse of primary color

Hierarchy issues

Poor contrast on placeholders when active and inactive

Visually cluttered making it hard for attention to be drawn to key elements

To correct these flaws, I implemented:

A control on color - reserving it for only primary actions

Reduced noise and clutter by stripping away unessential elements

Staggered the information - Some fields should be spread across multiple screens rather than cramming them into only one.

Made text links clearly distinct and obvious

Balanced the visual hierarchy and more effective use of visuals and spacing.

These simple improvements make a massive difference when working with UI/UX design and are principles I apply to all of my projects.
