Client goal:
The Photo Video Experience is South Africa’s biggest photography and videography expo — a high-energy event that brings together creators, brands, and workshops under one roof. The organizers wanted a dynamic promotional video that captures the scale, excitement, and creative atmosphere of the event.
My role:
I handled the planning, editing, and creative direction for the final video. I was given a mix of photos and short video clips from the event and asked to craft a piece that feels alive — something that would make viewers want to attend the next edition.
What I did:
Planned the story flow around energy and community — from crowds and brands to workshops and gear demos.
Combined stills and video to create constant movement and rhythm.
Synced visuals to an upbeat track to amplify excitement.
Added motion graphics and transitions for seamless flow between photo sequences.
Color-graded the footage for consistency across multiple sources and cameras.
Delivered a polished marketing video ready for social, web, and event promotion.
Why it worked:
By blending static photos with motion, transitions, and rhythm, the final video captures the buzz of a live creative event. It feels fast-paced, professional, and true to the brand’s personality — modern, energetic, and inspiring for the photo and video community.
