The brief

A stealth biotech team needed a fast, reliable public-facing website and a private home for internal lab knowledge. Built and maintained in Framer. The project focused on performance, scalability, and secure information access.

Page speed: 73 to 98

Mobile PageSpeed Insights performance improved from 73 to 98, a 25-point increase. Key optimization targets included asset delivery, script execution, and page rendering.
Performance: 73 → 98
Largest Contentful Paint: 5.1s → 1.4s
Total Blocking Time: 420ms → 65ms
Cumulative Layout Shift: 0.21 → 0.02
First Contentful Paint: 2.8s → 0.8s
The result: faster loading, smoother rendering, and a more responsive experience across devices.

Docs, kept private

Built a password-gated documentation portal, excluded from search indexing, with dedicated pages for onboarding, policies, safety SOPs, and software records.
Nested categories and one-click section downloads made internal resources easier to navigate and maintain.

Measurable growth

Alongside performance improvements, the optimization framework tracked acquisition and visitor engagement.
Organic sessions: +64.8%
Total sessions: +45.6%
Bounce rate: 52.6% → 31.2%
Engagement rate: 47.4% → 68.8%
Average engagement time: 1m 24s → 2m 18s
These metrics provide a broader view of site performance beyond loading speed, connecting technical improvements with visitor behavior and content discovery.
