Harness Projects is project-based course, with real world clients.
Humanitix is the first not-for-profit ticketing platform which directs 100% of profits from booking fees to education projects that help disadvantaged children.
The project below is a solo effort, with group guidance from a mentor; 19-year UX veteran, Carrie Webster.
She has worked with organisations including Optus, NBN, Equifax and Deloitte Digital, as well as working as an instructor and mentoring in the UX field.
Objective
Research the event organiser and attendee user segments of the Humanitix platform
Provide a UX design solution that drives user engagement and advocacy across both customer segments. This solution should be formed around the social impact generated through the Humantix platform.
Challenges
Finding suitable interview subjects
Understanding the intricacies of the events industry
With abstract objective (increasing advocacy), I found difficulties in the early stages of ideation
Solution
Clear and concise UI
Notification to increase engagement
Share-ability for all relevant "key moments"
"Quick Starts" for quicker event creations with templates
Draft events for on the move organisers
Team organisation and trackers
"Round Ups" for event attendees to donate that much more
Impact page showing progress with goals and connecting the to organisers the charities
Impact tracker, a stat breakdown with a share-ability x-factor. Hopefully increasing the amount of advocacy on social media and spreading the platform
