Her Journey To Becoming A Dog Mom
Ava the Wee Wolf and Baroness Batty
Dreams do come true, Charlotte has always loved dogs and wanted to adopt one for a long time. She knew the dog requires lots of love care and attention. Plus she wanted to give her pups the best life she could. So she waited till she can give them love attention and care. She finally became a dog mom on 31st March 2019 and then a second time on 18 December 2021. “I've always LOVED dogs and wanted one for a long long time and I waited until I had a schedule that was favourable to a dog's needs so I could give it the life I always imagined”
The balance between being a Dog mom and Work Life

Balancing work with two pups is a difficult task for many dog moms. So how does Charlotte work on her business and cares for pups? Charlotte makes sure to prioritize the needs of the dogs. She will provide the dogs with whatever they need and then start working. She works from her home studio so they all spend the day together which is the biggest blessing for her... Though sometimes Batty and Wolf are too cute and hard to resist and she ends up playing with them. We believe this break is well-deserved for Charlotte.
The Inspiring Batty and Ava
When days become happier because of your four-legged friend
Sometimes the best teacher in life has four legs and the cutest smile. This is also true for Charlotte as Batty and Ava inspire her every day in her work. When asked she replied, “The girls teach me patience and understanding. They show me a perspective I wouldn't otherwise see. I'm a calmer person because of them
They inspire me in my creative work. I've shaped my whole world around them, they are my ultimate muse. The sweetest most beautiful creatures I've ever known”
A Purrfect Day
Dog Bed Man with the dynamic Duo
How does the perfect way to spend the day look for the fashionista trio? It's where they dont have to rush to do things. Instead of a complete checklist they love to spend time enjoying each other’s company. She said, “I love doing what makes them happy. My idea of a great day with the girls is one that we don't have to rush. We can take our time to go to the park and hang out, play games and snuggle
I could honestly lay about cuddling them and gazing into their eyes for eternity”
Bad Days Happen to all of us
They have not had bad days lately. It was hard for them when they adopted Ava. Ava was a troubled teen and Batty is a middle aged lady with much baggage and scepticism. Their different personality caused a bit of a problem. Also, their bad days consist of lots of barking from the house at outside people. Here is how Charlotte and her pups found their rhythm, and dealt with bad days, “We've all grown a lot in the last 18 months. Grown together
When we did have bad days I would just try to remind myself it's not personal. Identifying what is needed that's not being met and modifying the situation is the most constructive approach. Sometimes I would need to step away and have some time to myself.” She also reminds us to be calm and acknowledge the problem. Being calm will help your pups also feel better and less anxious.
A word of Advice
Those amazing days in Sun, Charlotte with the Pup
Are you thinking about adopting a dog? Here is the advice Charlotte has for you, Dog mums, this too shall pass, so whatever it is that's got you feeling the puppy blues and yes I've had them big time in the first few months with Ava, just know that it's only a short time, be patient/understanding, enjoy it because they honestly won't be a puppy for long and you will miss when they used to steal the loo roll and shred it, well maybe. Just remember to ask yourself, how much did you know after weeks/months in earth?”
Your pups won't be perfect or know everything from the first day, give them and yourself to know each other and create a bond that will last a lifetime
So here is to all the amazing dog moms out there, things may seem hard but as Charlotte said this too shall pass. So cuddle your fur friend and play with them and keep rocking you. We interviewed more dog moms - So to read about Lila and Latisha click here
