The client approached me wanting to build an audience for their marketing brand. They wanted to utilise short-form platforms and create content that could stop people scrolling and keep watch times high. This also served the purpose of creating a monetizable platform for when YouTube rolled out ad-sense for shorts on February 1st 2023.
The Solution
I created a batch of short-form, clickable content based around the Film and TV industries. We had a clear goal of making the content as watchable as possible, so I created scripts full of interesting information, used motion graphics to support the points to keep it interesting, and created titles that you can't help but click on.
The results speak for themselves. While not every video got a tonne of views, 5 videos got over 1 million views and 1 video did a whopping 12 million views. This goes to show the power of short form content as part of a content marketing strategy in 2023.
