Used Next.js Web App Rebuild, Supabase Auth, Google OAuth, Stripe-Ready Architecture, Vercel Deployment
RenterRightsAI was an early-stage legal-tech startup website focused on helping renters better understand their rights through a simple, accessible, and user-friendly web experience. The client originally had a static HTML website hosted on Vercel, which worked as an initial prototype but was not strong enough for real product features such as user accounts, authentication, database profiles, payments, or future mobile app support.
I rebuilt the project from a basic static HTML setup into a modern Next.js web application with a cleaner and more scalable structure. I used the existing HTML version as the visual reference, then converted it into reusable React/Next.js components with improved routing, cleaner page organization, responsive layouts, and a more maintainable frontend architecture. The goal was to keep the website simple and easy for non-technical users while making it feel more polished, professional, and product-ready.
On the frontend side, I improved the overall UI/UX by refining spacing, typography, section hierarchy, button styling, mobile responsiveness, and page flow. I focused on creating a trustworthy SaaS-style experience that could support both a marketing website and future logged-in user functionality. The rebuilt application was deployed through Vercel and connected to the client’s existing GitHub workflow for easier updates and future development.
After the Next.js rebuild, I integrated Supabase authentication to support real user account functionality. This included user registration, login, logout, forgot password, reset password flow, protected user access, and Supabase profile table setup. I configured the authentication structure so each user could have a dedicated profile record, making the app ready for future account-based features and subscription/payment access control.
I also configured Google OAuth login using Supabase Auth and Google Cloud Console, including OAuth client setup, redirect URI configuration, provider setup, and authentication testing. This gave users a smoother sign-in option and helped prepare the product for a more modern onboarding experience.
For the payment layer, I prepared the application structure for Stripe integration, making sure the authentication and user profile flow could support future payment status, subscription status, and customer mapping. This created a proper foundation for connecting Stripe Checkout, subscription logic, and protected paid features without rebuilding the app later.
The final result was a fully upgraded product foundation: a static prototype became a scalable Next.js, Supabase, Google OAuth, Stripe-ready SaaS web application. The client was able to move forward with a professional web product that supports user accounts, future payments, better SEO, faster performance, mobile responsiveness, and long-term product growth.
Key technologies and skills used: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, Supabase Auth, Google OAuth, Google Cloud Console, Stripe-ready architecture, Vercel, GitHub, responsive web design, SaaS frontend development, authentication flow, user profile database structure, UI/UX improvement, SEO-friendly web development, startup MVP development.
