BracketOne is a mobile basketball tournament application designed to help players, organizers, and fans access tournament information through a simple Android experience.
I took over the existing app after its published Android version began opening to a blank white screen, preventing users from accessing the platform. I performed a detailed review of the React Native application, traced the AppRegistry and runtime startup errors, identified the code and dependency issues interrupting the initial app load, and implemented the required fixes.
Beyond debugging, I handled the Android release workflow using React Native, Expo, EAS, Anything, and Google Play Console. This included reviewing the existing Expo project and build history, verifying the Android package configuration, managing version codes and release settings, testing the corrected application, generating a signed Android App Bundle (AAB), and preparing the new build for Google Play testing and release.
The project required careful mobile debugging, JavaScript and TypeScript troubleshooting, Expo build management, Android deployment, and coordination between an AI-powered development platform and the existing Google Play environment. The final result was a stable, release-ready Android build with the startup issue resolved and a safer publishing workflow established for future updates.
