Automated Timesheet Parsing and Mail Merge

Challenge
Each week, administrators manually distributed timesheets and purchase orders to multiple staffing agencies. This process involved filtering large data sets, preparing agency-specific files, and sending individual emails — all done by hand. It was slow, error-prone, and risky, with occasional data breaches caused by incorrect attachments or human error.
Solution
I built an end-to-end automated workflow that replaced the manual process with a secure, scalable system. Using Google Apps Script and Gmail, the workflow:
Automatically split and organized timesheets by agency
Matched data to the correct recipients using Salesforce records
Prepared and sent emails with relevant attachments through a mail merge process
Logged and tracked all distributions for accountability and compliance
This eliminated the need for administrators to handle files directly while maintaining a clear audit trail of every sent document.
