DitchCarbon Figma Design System

I was brought in as the Product Designer to craft a cohesive design system for a sustainability-focused platform. My role involved auditing existing UI, standardizing visuals, and ensuring a scalable design foundation across light and dark themes.

I built a flexible and accessible system from scratch using Figma. This included:

A complete color palette (primary, neutrals, chart colors)

Typography scales for responsive consistency

Reusable components like buttons, forms, tabs, accordions, and CTA blocks

Light and dark theme variants using custom Tailwind variables

Setup of design tokens and variables for dev handoff clarity

The project also involved migrating components from a personal system into a shared team library. I resolved theme conflicts, cleaned up legacy tokens, and ensured components responded to theme switches correctly.

The team now has a clean, scalable design foundation that saves time and improves consistency across the product. The design system supports future growth, makes new feature designs faster, and ensures accessible UI patterns for all users.
