Ike Design

In February 2024, Ike (France, Freelance Thumbnail Designer) contacted me to get the ball rolling for a brand new personal website to act as a home for his world class Thumbnail Design service.

Ike put together his old website himself in Webflow, and had grown unhappy with it over time. It not longer represented, fully, what he did as a freelancer, didn't highlight his best work and was difficult to update.

The new website I was about to build had to meet specific requirements. Ike had built up a lot of experience delivering his Thumbnail Design expert to demanding clients, and he himself was now certainly a premium vendor, so the site I built had to reflect that unquestionably. We also needed to make sure Ike could: • Filter out clients that can't afford him. • Be contacted directly from the website. • Explain why he was the best vendor for high-level thumbnail work. • Allow Ike's personality to shine through via his website. • Host a monstrous collection of world class thumbnail work on his site.

To achieve these vital aims, I:

• Deployed a custom quote component to the end of Ike's contact form, to show the user how much they'll be needing to pay for what they've written about in the form. • Built a custom contact form inside Framer that sends submissions straight to Ike's preferred email. • Include sections on the homepage detailing benefits of Ike's service, some FAQ's and also testimonials from the (very) reputable clients Ike has served. • Carried over the funk, energetic brand visual from the rest of Ike's online presence to the website (once we got privately-approved permission to use one of the typeface's!) • Built the most comprehensive thumbnail portfolio page on the internet, as seen below.

Achieving all of Ike's goals for his new website was the perfect ending to this project, and now Ike has a premium website to match his premium reputation. Something I was over the moon to deliver for him.

This project taught me a lot about how I could bend the Framer CMS to my will for client's needing specific capabilities, and this website is still, almost a year later, a source of inbound leads for me. Members of the thumbnail design community send me messages every month enquiring about having me deliver for them the same way I did for Ike.
