Sustainability Awareness Mobile App

During our overseas trip to Shenzhen, China, our team was tasked with developing a business idea that required a medium-fidelity prototype. We brainstormed and came up with the concept of a Carbon Awareness App, designed to encourage sustainable practices by increasing awareness of individual carbon emissions. The app aims to empower users to make informed decisions about their daily activities and their environmental impact.
To encourage user adoption, we focused on creating a user-friendly experience. The main UX intention was to make all features purposefully geared towards increasing carbon emission awareness. This included integrating functionalities that provide real-time feedback on users' carbon footprints, offering practical tips for reducing emissions, and enabling social sharing to foster a community of environmentally conscious individuals.
Simplicity was at the core of our design approach. We ensured that the app's interface was intuitive, with easy navigation and clear instructions. This focus on simplicity not only enhances user engagement but also helps to convey the importance of sustainability in an accessible manner. Through our Carbon Awareness App, we aim to inspire users to take actionable steps towards a more sustainable future.
