Are we doing too much?: Analyzing the love life of T Swift 👸

To whom much is given much is required. That’s keeping it light when it comes to someone as big as Taylor Swift, the queen of pop and seemingly the queen of romance. Or so that’s what the media and Swifties alike would have you think. But the obsession with Taylors love life leaves many of us scratching our heads and questioning our priorities.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Dissecting the lyrics to the latest T-Swift song excites me too! But, in a world overflowing with problems, is a pop icons latest beau really where our focus should be? Maybe I only feel this way because I had no clue who Travis Kelsey was mere months ago and couldn’t tell you the first thing about football. The heck is an interception? 🤔

Either way, I’m a bit concerned at the way the public watches Taylors love life play out like a soap opera. They’re honestly giving DeMille a run for his money! I doubt T-Swift is ready for her 'close up’ when she wants to simply enjoy watching her current boy toy at the end zone (again, how do you football??😩).

Honestly, the obsession may just be a testament to her great storytelling abilities. I for one can say that when the new relationship was discovered that I got excited about the next heartbreaking chart topper and accompanying video she would drop when it’s over! Hello? “All Too Well (Taylors Version)’ anyone? Even that video went viral for its easter eggs!

Our fascination with Taylors love life may be a bit strange, but if using her love stories as an escape and breaking down her lyrics as a therapeutic exercise is wrong, Swifties don’t want to be right! And that’s their prerogative. Afterall, entertainers are meant to do just that --- entertain!

So, at the end of the day, when we sit down to truly ask ourselves “Are we doings too much?”, I think we can answer with a resounding, NO! #Swiftieout🎤⬇️
