As Communications Coordinator at Locust Projects, a leading Miami-based arts nonprofit, I led the organization’s visual and digital communications strategy across multiple platforms. From April 2020 to May 2022, I oversaw all graphic design, social media, email marketing, photography, and website management efforts. I created cohesive digital campaigns and branded content—from designing event materials and annual reports in Adobe InDesign to crafting monthly email newsletters and maintaining a consistent, engaging presence across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I also managed in-house photo and video documentation of exhibitions, artist installations, and public programs, ensuring each story was told with clarity and creativity.
I played a key role in expanding the organization’s online footprint, building stronger community engagement, and elevating its institutional presence. In response to the pandemic, I led the shift to digital-first communications, which included designing three new Squarespace websites and launching a virtual fundraising campaign. Throughout my time at Locust Projects—from intern to gallery assistant to full-time coordinator—I combined technical skills with an arts-focused sensibility to authentically represent the mission, amplify artists' voices, and drive audience growth and donor engagement.

Graphic and Website Design

I was in charge of the graphic design of all in-house print and digital materials (including event flyers and invitations, annual reports, rack cards, brochures, monthly email newsletters, etc) as well as website design and maintenance of three new websites.

Email Marketing

Created and scheduled monthly email campaigns on Mailchimp and Bloomerang to promote exhibitions, events, and artist features, improving audience engagement and open rates.

Social Media

Managed and grew the organization’s social media presence through consistent content creation, strategic campaign planning, and a strong focus on storytelling. By aligning visuals and messaging with the organization’s mission and programming, I was able to deepen audience engagement, broaden reach, and build a more connected online community around contemporary art in Miami.
