The Department of Fisheries Punjab sought to modernize and streamline the process of fish farm registration by automating and digitalizing it through a mobile application. The primary goal was to simplify and accelerate the registration process for fish farmers, while also ensuring that the system is easy to use for individuals with varying levels of technological literacy.

Key Objectives:

Automation and Digitalization: Eliminate the manual registration process and reduce paperwork, enabling farmers to register their fish farms digitally.

Efficiency: Improve operational efficiency for both fish farmers and the Department by automating data collection, registration, and monitoring.

User-Friendliness: Develop an intuitive and easy-to-navigate mobile app to cater to a wide range of users, ensuring a smooth experience for those who may not be tech-savvy.

Minimalistic Design: The app's interface is designed to be simple, with a clean and minimalist aesthetic, focusing only on the essential features and making navigation straightforward.

Core Features of the Mobile Application:

User Registration and Profile Management:

New users can create an account with basic personal and farm-related information.

Existing users can log in and manage their profiles easily.

Farm Registration:

Farmers can enter details about their fish farms, including location, type of fish, farm size, and other relevant information.

Streamlined form submission with minimal steps for faster registration.

Document Upload and Verification:

Users can upload required documents (e.g., licenses, permits) directly through the app.

Automated validation of documents to ensure compliance with regulations.

Dashboard:

A clean, user-friendly dashboard to view and manage farm registrations.

The dashboard allows farmers to check the status of their applications, make updates, and track any ongoing processes.

Notifications and Alerts:

Push notifications to remind users of pending tasks, updates, or important deadlines.

Alerts for registration approvals or rejections, and other significant events related to the farm.

A backend interface for the Department of Fisheries to review and approve/reject registrations.

Admins can access detailed reports, track registration progress, and manage farm data.

User data is securely stored and protected through encryption and proper security measures.

Personal and farm-related information is only accessible to authorized users and department staff.

Design Approach:
