It is common for horses to experience stress, frustration, and anxiety when they are in inadequate environmental and social management conditions. This stress can be a serious problem as it can lead to health and behavioral issues when left unaddressed. Satisfying the need to socialize with other horses or to stimulate their brains is difficult when the horse spends most of the day in a stall. The purpose of this project was to identify the habits and needs that these animals normally have to design a system of products that helps them satisfy these instincts inside their stalls. Helping them reduce stress, negative behaviors, self-harm activities and improving the lifestyle and performance of these animals.

Horses in the wild spend almost 85% of their time feeding, when they are in a stall that time decreases. The grass feeder helps increase the time the horse eats (from 30 minutes to 2 hours). The lid presses the grass downward making the horse pull it out, simulating grazing. This also helps improve their digestion and reduce food waste.

They are very intelligent animals and they need to be constantly stimulated, to avoid boredom. One of their most developed instincts is smell, which they use to find food. The purpose of this toy is to hide food, when the horse finds the treat, it needs to figure out how to open the drawer and how to get it out.

For this product, it was taken into account that horses are very social animals and how they relate or interact with other horses. They usually scratch, rub and even lightly bite each other. With this information, the most sensitive areas to the touch of these animals were determined and the shape of the scraper was designed accordingly. It has interchangeable textures according to the sensitivity and needs of every horse.
