Website Component Rebuild: Carousel + Portraits + Timeline
Colovore's marketing team needed to update site content — new data center images, new hires, new milestones — without waiting on a developer every time. I rebuilt three core components on their Webflow site as custom, CMS-driven builds, replacing static or broken sections with structures the team can manage themselves.
What this solved: Content that lives in fixed layouts creates a bottleneck: every new photo or milestone needs a developer to touch the page. By rebuilding these sections around Webflow's CMS, updates now happen through simple content entries instead of code changes, cutting the team's dependency on dev time for routine site maintenance.
Deliverables:
Image carousel — rebuilt to handle up to 10 images per slide, aspect-ratio-agnostic, with empty-slot logic and lightbox preview, connected to CMS
Team portraits section — rebuilt with corrected sizing and CMS structure, headshots re-cropped to a consistent frame
"Our History" timeline — rebuilt from scratch with clean CMS structure, replacing a version that threw JavaScript errors and behaved inconsistently
Tested on a staging instance before migration to production
Impact: gave the marketing team direct control over three previously developer-dependent sections of the site, reducing turnaround time for routine content updates from days to minutes.
