Collingwood Fashion Week, an annual week-long event organized by the Collingwood Downtown BIA, showcases world-class fashion experiences in the unique and vibrant setting of Downtown Collingwood. The challenge was to craft a timeless identity tailored for both event attendees and industry influencers, setting the standard for the future of fashion in Collingwood. The downtown area itself serves as an authentic and evolving hub, blending historic preservation with trendy and enjoyable experiences, making it the perfect canvas for a high-end fashion event.
Extensive market research and competitor analysis were conducted to identify strategic opportunities for the event’s branding strategy. This analysis was rooted in understanding Collingwood's unique appeal, the downtown's competitive positioning, and the high-end offerings of local businesses. The goal was to create a brand that seamlessly integrated with the town's aesthetic while showcasing its upscale fashion scene.

During the conceptual phase, inspiration was drawn from editorial spreads and the lakeside luxury of Collingwood. This immersive approach allowed for a deep understanding of the event's potential within the local community and the Greater Toronto Area. Iconic marks and scalable patterns were explored, along with defining the photography and imagery style for effective event marketing.
The solution exudes sophistication, harmony, and class. A meticulously crafted wordmark combining calligraphy and sans-serif fonts creates a modern, clean look. The colour palette, deliberately kept neutral, allows the fashion and iconic branding to take centre stage. A custom-designed monogram serves as a unique identifier, visible across multiple applications, effectively marketing the event. This cohesive design approach across all elements has positioned this brand as the LBD of fashion events, ensuring its relevance and elegance for years to come.
Following the implementation of the new branding, Collingwood Fashion Week achieved heightened recognition and acclaim within the fashion industry. The event’s tailored and powerful image resonated profoundly, making it an official annual event since its inception in 2021. Now entering its fifth year, Collingwood Fashion Week has become a province-wide event, attracting guests from across country. In 2023, the event hosted over 25 events throughout the week, generating a significant sum of $21,000 for Hospice Georgian Triangle. Collingwood Fashion Week’s timeless aesthetic, coupled with its community-focused values, has solidified its reputation as a premier fashion event for a noble cause, ensuring its enduring relevance and prominence for years to come.
