Project Description:
We partnered with Nebraska’s largest school district, Omaha Public Schools, to assess and elevate their social media presence. With dozens of schools and departments posting across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, OPS needed a unified, strategic approach.
Our collaboration included a comprehensive social media audit, analyzing over 20 comparable school districts to understand how OPS stacked up in areas like:
Posting frequency & consistency
Visual branding & messaging
Engagement rates
Platform usage trends
Content formats
After identifying opportunities for growth, we compiled our insights into a detailed report and presented strategic recommendations to their marketing team. These included:
Platform-specific content suggestions
Workflow updates to optimize video content
A shift toward people-focused storytelling over illustrated graphics
We concluded the project with a hands-on training session for internal content creators and communications staff, equipping them with:
Best practices for each platform
Workflow improvements
Tools for planning and creating engaging content
Confidence in telling the OPS story online
This project helped OPS move toward a more cohesive and impactful digital presence, empowering their teams to communicate more effectively with students, families, and the community.
