Overview

Walkstory is a company with a vision for tourism. They help tourists get along in the particular location they are visiting. This is a mini MVP app that we created to aid in educating tourists on the locations they will be visiting. I made use of the weweb platfrom for the frontend, the supabase platform for the backend and mapbox for the map display.

Goals

The goal was to create a mini MVP app that contained two functions; the manual and automatic function triggers. How the manual trigger works; the location markers are clicked/tapped to enable the additional information to display. For the automatic trigger, the user will need to be exactly 100 meters away from the particular location marker point to trigger the additional information to display.

Challenges

Well, as always for every project, challenges are experienced. I encountered two major challenges which were; creating the workflow function for the automatic trigger function and separating these two functions, giving the user the ability to select their preference.

Solutions/Outcome

I was able to come up with solutions that worked, making the automatic function a success, and also, the separation of the manual and automatic functions possible, generally making the creation of a mini MVP app possible. It turned out to be a huge success and are also looking forward to our continued partnership in upscaling it!
