Spec: Business Process Automation Workflow

An internal workflow automation for teams that move information between tools, rely on manual approvals, or spend time chasing routine operational updates.

A request, form submission, spreadsheet update, or webhook starts the workflow.

The system validates the available data and checks it against the team’s operating rules.

Tasks are routed to the appropriate owner for review, approval, or follow-up.

Approved information is written to the relevant CRM, database, spreadsheet, or project tool.

Stakeholders receive status notifications with the context needed for the next action.

Exceptions and incomplete requests are flagged for human handling instead of being processed blindly.

The trigger, decision rules, approval steps, connected tools, and notifications are configured around the client’s existing operations. The workflow can connect Make or n8n with OpenAI, Google Sheets, email, Slack, Telegram, webhooks, and compatible APIs.

This is a spec concept showing one focused internal process. Complex multi-team permissions, custom API development, large-scale data migrations, and extensive process redesign would be scoped separately.
