Project Overview
Co-founded by Bono and other activists, ONE is a global movement campaigning to end extreme poverty and preventable disease by 2030, so that everyone, everywhere can lead a life of dignity and opportunity.
ONE approached my creative agency to write, direct and produce a documentary series on African female activists. My team and I worked as an extension of ONE's global team to bring the #YoursInPower series to life.
Series Description
Meet Melene Rossouw, Dr. Joannie Marlene Bewa, and Wadi Ben-Hirki: three change-making activists fighting for gender equality and justice. From South Africa to Benin to Nigeria, these powerful women use their voices to spark grassroots movements, push groundbreaking policies and challenge world leaders to create a more equal and just world for everyone.
ONE’s new short film series offers a deeper look into the lives of these incredible activists, elevating their perspectives from the frontlines of the fight for gender equality. Their stories will reveal why your voice is your greatest power.

The series was screened on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and generated hundreds of thousands of views, shares and likes across the globe. The short films sparked essential debate and generated awareness around they key causes that both the female activists and ONE champion.
