Long-Form to Short-Form Video Repurposing (YouTube → Reels)

This project focused on editing long-form, educational YouTube content for a knowledge-driven audience, where clarity, pacing, and credibility mattered more than flashy effects.

My role was to structure raw talking-head footage into a cohesive narrative, tighten the pacing without overcutting, and preserve the speaker’s authority while improving watchability over 20–30 minutes. Emphasis was placed on removing verbal warm-ups, clarifying key ideas, and guiding attention through light visual structure rather than heavy animation.

From the long-form edits, I identified high-signal moments and repurposed them into short-form clips designed to stand alone while remaining contextually accurate — prioritizing insight density over trend-based hooks.

This type of work requires editorial judgment, restraint, and close attention to meaning, not just timing. The goal was content that feels thoughtful, professional, and genuinely useful to the viewer.
