Problem Which Led To An Idea 🚩
Restaurants often struggle with overseeing various aspects of their operation: tracking tables, managing reservations, checking guest arrivals, and assigning seating. Mistakes in organization can lead to confusion and revenue loss. There was a clear need for a solution that streamlines these tasks and simplifies the workload for managers and staff.
An Idea 💡
The idea of application was to create a user interface for restaurants, along with a small widget for their websites. This widget would allow users to reserve tables online. Restaurant managers and employees could then view, confirm, or reject reservations, with details on table availability and the number of expected guests. The application automates reservation status updates and securely stores essential information. Additionally, the UI features a drag-and-drop design, enabling restaurants to customize their interior and exterior layouts.
The Solution 📦
As the solution, we developed an application that allows customers to check table availability, reserve tables, and view their reservation duration. Restaurant employees or managers can accept or decline these reservations, or leave them pending for further review. The application includes a widget that restaurants can embed on their official websites for easy online reservations.
We also designed a UI tool for restaurants to create digital representations of their interior and exterior layouts. This tool allows them to visualize their space, including the ability to split and merge tables to accommodate larger events or special occasions.
Additionally, employees can monitor user behavior, with the option to suspend accounts that make fake reservations or exhibit unreliable behavior. The application prioritizes security, requiring mobile and email verifications to ensure user authenticity.
