For this week’s “Pearl of Wisdom” I want to talk about how to prepare your social media for the holidays. Everyone knows the importance of “Black Friday (AKA the biggest shopping day of the year.) This is the prime time for buyers to look for those amazing deals. 
Here are a few tips to help you hit the ground running this holiday season in your product-based business:
Start hinting at your black friday deals now with a call to action, instead of waiting just a few days before (at that point it will be too late to entice your audience because they will most likely have other items in mind to buy). 
Show your audience how your product is the perfect gift for their loved ones. The holidays are about giving, so shifting your content away from your customers and directing it at your customers' loved ones will make a bigger impact. 
Use short-form video to show your audience a sneak peek of your business getting prepared for the Black Friday sale. This will make the audience feel invested in your business and want to stick around to learn more.

For this week’s “Pearl of Wisdom” I want to talk about social media trends. Next month, it will be 2023, and it's important to know what trends will be relevant going into the New Year. 
Everyone knows by now the importance of short-form video. With “new kid on the block” Tiktok coming onto the scene in 2016 and exploding in popularity by 2018, the other social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Snapchat) had to come up with their versions of short-form videos to compete. With Instagram/Facebook, it’s Reels, Snapchat has Spotlight, and Pinterest has Idea Pins. 
Going into 2023, it's crucial to keep the momentum going with short-form videos, but audiences are looking for something more authentic this time around. Gone are the days when “prim and polished” were king. Now, it's all about being real and in the moment. Customers want to see real people using the brand's products/services.
