Velvet Shaker is a premium cocktail bar located in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong's most iconic nightlife district

Founded in 2021, inspired by Hong Kong's vibrant nightlife and a deep passion for mixology

The site needed to match the bar's sensory, atmospheric identity — moody, editorial, and effortlessly cool

Open Monday to Sunday, 18:00 to late

Hospitality sites live or die on atmosphere — the site had to make visitors feel the bar before they even walk in

The design used an unconventional black and cream palette with oversized display typography — had to be executed with precision in Framer

Multiple content types needed to coexist elegantly: cocktail menu, booking occasions, brand story, events feed, and social links

The cocktail menu required an expandable, interactive list — not a static image — so it could be updated easily

Built the full site in Framer from provided designs with pixel-perfect accuracy on the editorial typographic layout

Full-bleed cocktail photography implemented in the hero with smooth scroll-triggered transitions

Interactive cocktail menu developed as an expandable accordion list — Peach Blossom, Lavender Mist, Mint Cloud, Rose Garden, Blue Lagoon, Lemon Velvet — with ingredient descriptions revealed on selection

Bookings section structured into three distinct occasion categories — Romantic, Business, and Parties — each with its own visual card and description

Brand story section developed with a split editorial layout — text alongside atmospheric bar photography

Events and news feed ("Check what's happening") built with a CMS-powered horizontal scroll section — bar can add Tasted Talks, Wine Events, and menu launches independently

Social links (Bookings, Instagram, TikTok, Directions) integrated cleanly into the navigation area

Fully responsive across mobile and desktop — the dark atmospheric feel maintained perfectly on smaller screens

The site feels as considered and premium as the bar itself — dark, editorial, and immersive

The CMS-powered menu and events sections mean the Velvet Shaker team can keep the site fresh without any developer dependency

The occasion-based booking structure (Romantic, Business, Parties) actively guides visitors toward conversion rather than leaving them to figure out next steps

A site that works as hard at seduction as the cocktails do
