Wallpaper Mobile App Design

A Wallpaper Marketplace where artists sell designs and users can customize them for their digital spaces.

I was tasked to design a wallpaper mobile app with features that allow users to customize wallpapers. Also, allow them to showcase their arts on the mobile app. Hence, giving creators more visibility.

I had 3 weeks to work on it, so I carried out my research on the competitors and users. I realized; 1. Users only browse and download pre-made designs. Users are stuck with what's available, with little room for personalization or creativity. 2. Users upload their craft but have no transparent compensation for their craft or metrics on their craft. 3. Users cannot view all creators’ crafts to give significant visibility.

Deracraft makes users co-designers by choosing wallpaper and exploring their creativity with unlimited fonts, colours, and adjusting fonts to choose from. This beats the traditional wallpaper downloads. This feature increases their satisfaction with visiting the app.

Now, users can monitor metrics like downloads, views, or engagement. This feature helps encourage users to put more effort into their visibility.

Although I didn’t measure the metrics of this project, I have results I’m proud of:

The client was satisfied and excited with the designs and my deliverables.

I created clear documentation that made it easy for the developer to implement the design without stress.

I’d account for success metrics so that we understand our users better to improve the experience for them.

I’d implement feedback loops to make it easier to hear from the users on what we can do better to make this app worthwhile for them.
