Turning a bold product idea into a playful and recognizable brand system

C8SED came to me at an early stage with a strong creative instinct: they wanted to build a phone case brand that felt bold, playful, and unapologetically expressive.
The product direction was clear, but the brand identity wasn’t yet defined. My role was to translate that raw creative energy into a structured visual system that could grow with the business.

Approach

Instead of starting with the logo, we started with context.
We analyzed the phone accessories market, identifying two dominant directions: minimalist tech brands and chaotic graphic-driven brands. C8SED didn’t belong fully to either. The opportunity was to build something emotionally expressive but visually controlled.
From there, I developed several identity routes, exploring inflated typography, bold color blocking, and modular graphic elements. Each direction was tested not only on digital mockups but directly on product surfaces and packaging scenarios. The brand had to function physically, not just visually.

The Strategic Challenge

The biggest challenge was integration.
We needed a system that allowed high visual energy without losing hierarchy, legibility, or scalability.
The identity had to be expressive, but intentional.

Creation of a modular graphic language adaptable to patterns
Product and packaging visualization
Structured brand guidelines for consistency

Results & Impact

C8SED now has a brand identity that feels distinctive and ownable.
The system allows them to launch new collections without reinventing their look each time. It supports product storytelling, retail presence, and digital communication with the same visual language.
Most importantly, the identity works directly on the object itself. The brand does not compete with the product. It enhances it.
