Branding & Illustration System for Education

How can we take the historical narrative of Puerto Rico back and create tools of empowerment for Puerto Rican youth?

As a Puerto Rican who grew up between the island and the diaspora, I always noticed how Puerto Rican history felt dull, badly written, and missing a lot of things. For a place that has been oppressed under colonialism for so long, knowledge is a powerful tool of empowerment to break cycles. Still, studying and taking in information can be daunting, but graphic design has the power to make it more accessible. Our Stories plans to do just that: use graphic design as a tool of empowerment for the youth of Puerto Rico by making our historical stories accessible and engaging.
