👉🏽A complete rebuild of the client's interface and an overhaul of their previous tech stack.

My roles & responsibilities: UX contributions, front-end engineering, server-side rendering & performance optimization.



✅ Goals:

To build a Web application that will:

🏷 Reflect modern-day aesthetics and current UI/UX principles.

🏷 Increase visibility and sales conversion rate.

🏷 Attract creatives and other merchandisers to create custom stores on the platform.

🧱Challenge:

👨🏽‍💻 Build the project from scratch with both existing and new features.

💪🏼 Solution:

Went with using Nextjs to achieve this, prefetched some pages at build time and server-side fetched the other pages. Also drastically improved the UI and responsiveness of pages. Examples of the old and new are below:

📚 Takeaways/Thing I learned:

I loved the idea of server-side rendering pages for speed and performance.

I was able to better my knowledge of managing state in huge applications and building products that can scale in general.
