Evento: a 3D event website, from the street to the stage

The problem

Conference and festival websites all look the same: a hero banner, a grid of speaker photos and a long agenda table. Nothing tells you what it will feel like to be there.

What I built

A website the visitor walks into. It starts on the street at night, with the event's name in neon on an old factory. The doors open and the camera goes into the hall. As you scroll, the day plays out on the stage: talks by day with the speakers' faces on the LED wall, and at night the DJ set, with light beams and confetti on the music's beat. Then the full agenda as real text, the speakers, the venue, tickets, add-to-calendar and a newsletter.
Everything is edited through a wizard: the event, dates, agenda, speakers with their photos, tickets and colours. The buyer downloads a static site they host anywhere.

Stack

Three.js, TypeScript, Astro. Rigged low-poly people baked to a vertex-animation texture, CC0 textures, a lighter version for older phones.

Honest note

This is a demo I designed and built for Promti, my 3D website studio. The event, the venue and the people are fictional; the speakers' photos are Pexels stock.
