The Courier: VFX-Driven AI Sci-Fi Short Film

The Courier is a 4–5 minute AI-generated short film told in stylized realism. A courier with a glowing light box strapped to her chest races across a nighttime megacity on a hoverboard to reach a passenger aboard a moving train. She pushes through obstacle after obstacle, and the meaning of the package slowly comes into focus. The light box is her heart, and the delivery is the risk of handing it to someone.

The film follows a complete narrative arc. It opens with a quiet setup, builds intrigue around the package reacting to the train, peaks in a high-speed chase that results in a fall, and resolves in an emotional moment at the train station where the light box is delivered.

I generated and edited the film. The goal was to prove that AI video can hold together over minutes, not just seconds:

Character consistency: the courier’s hair, suit, harness and light box stay recognizable across wides, close-ups and fast action.

Environment consistency: the city, the train interior and the lighting carry one coherent world from shot to shot.

VFX-heavy action: hoverboard thrusters, flight through skyscraper canyons and glowing practical-style light sources are kept stable and cut into continuous sequences.

Long-form editing: pacing, continuity and visual style are maintained across minutes of effects-driven footage. This is where AI video usually breaks down.
