Project Overview
I recently took on an exciting challenge: redesigning a mobile app for cleaning and plumbing services. Our goal? To create a seamless, user-friendly experience that would boost engagement, enhance accessibility, and ultimately increase conversion rates.
Diving into User Research
To kick things off, we immersed ourselves in comprehensive user research. Our approach included:
Usability Testing: We observed real users interacting with the existing app, identifying pain points and areas for improvement.
User Interviews: One-on-one conversations with both service providers and customers gave us invaluable insights into their needs and frustrations.
Surveys: We cast a wider net, gathering quantitative data to support our qualitative findings.
Analytics Analysis: Diving deep into user behavior data helped us understand how people were actually using the app.

Supercharging Search Functionality: We implemented advanced filters and a more intuitive search interface to help users find exactly what they need.
Simplifying Navigation: We restructured the app's information architecture, making it easier for users to explore services and access key features.
Implementing a New Design System: We developed a cohesive design language that not only looked great but also improved accessibility and consistency across the app.

Before: Basic information with text-heavy descriptions. After: Visual-rich profiles featuring high-quality photos, video introductions, and easy-to-scan bullet points highlighting expertise and customer reviews.
Supercharged Search Functionality
Before: Limited search options and confusing results pages. After: Advanced filters, auto-suggest features, and a map view for location-based searching, making it easier than ever to find the right service provider.
Simplified Navigation
Before: Cluttered menus and hidden features. After: A clean, intuitive bottom navigation bar with clear icons and labels, ensuring users can always find what they're looking for.

While we can't share specific metrics due to client confidentiality, we're thrilled to report that our redesign led to:
