2023      BRAND POSITIONING      BRAND IDENTITY
Nelson & Floyd is on a mission to revolutionize men's grooming by crafting products inspired by the art and craft of barbering. They are committed to providing quality products that cater to every man, irrespective of background or style. I was approached when Nelson & Floyd were breaking off from their parent company and required a new brand strategy and identity that spoke to their history and their new path.
Nelson and Floyd's founders were drawn to the allure and mystique of prohibition-era gangsters and ephemera. This bygone era resonated deeply with the brand's essence. The original ornate logo posed challenges, prompting us to favour modern fonts for the new logo design. By pairing a fresh new font with a rich and moody colour pallet we crafted a visual narrative that echoes the sophistication of the 1920s while resonating with the modern man.
