Moniepoint: A Fintech re-design case study

OVERVIEW

Moniepoint is a microfinance bank in Nigeria, catering to individuals and small businesses with financial solutions such as loans, savings, and seamless transactions. Despite its growing popularity, the app faces challenges in user experience and interface design that hinder optimal user engagement particularly for older users

GOALS

To enhance the app’s usability by creating a simple, accessible interface that serves both older users and younger, tech-savvy individuals equally well

OBJECTIVES

Simplify navigation to reduce cognitive load for all age groups
Use accessible design principles, such as clear text, intuitive icons and high contrasts, to cater to older users
maintain a modern, engaging design asthetic that appeals to younger audiences.
Avoid some unnecessary repitition replacing them with additional beneficial features

Solutions

Simplify navigation for older users with improved clarity and touch-friendly elements.
Retain a sleek, modern aesthetic for younger users.
Balance functionality with simplicity to cater to all age groups and tech levels.
Add features enhancing usability and accessibility.
